2013 Genesis 2.0T with almost 100k miles. Still worth it to mod?
I bought a 2013 Genesis 2.0T about 8 months ago. It has 96,5** miles on the odometer, when I got it, it had 86,7***. Anyway! It has a full pipe exhaust on it already, it sounds great and everything with the engine is still running the same as the day I got it. I'm just maintaining fluid levels and getting oil changes regularly when I'm supposed to. Recently I have become interested in modding my car more and I've done the research and have a basic idea of what else I want to do to it. I'm not looking for 400 HP or anything crazy like that, I just want to add about 50 HP and I'll be good. I'm thinking to put either the K&N cold air intake because it has a higher HP boost, or the Injen Short Ram air intake because it has a nice torque boost. But I'm not sure yet.
My question after that is should I change the whole intercooler system or can I get away with only changing the piping? Should I change the fan (not sure the fan will matter that much? lol)
The next thing I was thinking to do would be an ECU flash or a tune. I've done some research into that but I don't have a clue what I should do to get the best bang for the money and also have to do the least modifications.
My final question would be; IS IT STILL WORTH IT? Since the car is creeping up toward 100k miles I want it to go strong for as long as possible. Or would you recommend to just leave it how it is??? I love this car, I just want to improve on it a bit.
HELP! and thank you!
