emebarak yes, tried already new batery in key fobs, checked battery engine, keeps happening. taken cafre to dealer , they say they could not replicate the problem. what a last few months I have had. sometimes the door does not repspond , sometimes it is the car engine, sometimes all systems are just dead.
1. anti theft system issues,
2. door actuators?
3. antenna
4, loose fuse connection?
5 smart key module,
6. switch brake,
7. hood switch,
8. start/stop

Mike Que I am having almost the same problem. with my remote one works well and the other remote totally does not. I have to charge it for a long travel time before it works. then the next day it does not work again.

Wannaberider i had a similar issue to this but my car wouldn't start either, but it seemed that the car didn't recognize the keyfob, and i couldn't lock/unlock the car. i also couldn't start the car too. it took two trips to the dealership for them to figure out what was wrong with my car, and it turned out it was a loose connection at the fuse box. either it was the fuse box inside the car or the fuse box under hood i don't know. it wasn't a key fob battery issue like everybody is trying to say here, because your key fob has a redlight that comes on when you press a button, and mine red light came on telling me that it was sending a signal to the car. because it was a intermiten problem thats why it took two times of sending it to the dealership for them to fix it.

i thought it had something to do with the power so i started my car and turned it off then re-tried it.. and it works like nothing was ever wrong.. its happening at least once a week now..
anyone else notice this???? what da blooood...
I would try a new battery just to be sure and try your 2nd pair as well. If it still acts up I would take them back to the dealer and ask if they can get you some new ones.

I didn't think i'd care that much about it but honestly its made me super lazy. I don't think I can ever buy another key turner again.

Cold71 I've seen this a few times myself, I only ever noticed it though while I would be walking up to my car and tried to pop the trunk. Has not happend for awhile though.

DayDreamer Dunno, that doesn't really sound like a remote battery issue. If it was then restarting the car would have no effect.

You have the proximity key with push button start, right? Reason I'm asking is because that makes it much more complicated to try to diagnose. Seeing as it's a random issue it's going to be very hard for the dealer to duplicate.

CoupeDeVille I'd try replacing the battery's in the remote and see if that fixes the problem.
