newmedia email from Pavel " Engine disassembled and 0.040 inch crankshaft play measured. Hyundai installed rear thrust bearings backward causing wear on the crankshaft."

newmedia The crankshaft will be sent out for repair and coating to california / about two weeks turnaround time and Pavel racing engines has update on the facebook regarding the engine development.

newmedia He took the engine apart and started to do measurements and found the crankshaft out of spec. I send him photo of part he needs for rebuild and this is from Pavels Racing Engines on his facebook - Email received. "Crank looks good. Once it comes in I will measure all journals and contact you".

here is some info on journals.

[email protected] Yes, you are bout 25k left.

They are full of crap. Just go get your oil change one time and any Hyundai dealership and they are supposed to check for specific things based on the mileage.

genesiscoupe7 thanks for the link, to me it looks like I have the 5/60k left on it, I called my closest dealership they said its 125 inspection fee to look at the car? Is that cause I said I just want to have it checked out to make sure nothing is wrong with it? or do I need to say, I hear a sound and want to get it checked out?

genesiscoupe7 I just bought a 2010 genesis coupe track 3.8, 35850 miles on it. I was wondering if someone could actually tell me about the warranty at this point whats covered, whats left. I'm the second owner, i want to just it checked out. Couple of odd things like to get checked out, but i'm tired of spending money thats why I thought I bought a new with warranty, so I wouldn't have to pay for replacement parts or inspection costs for a few years. Manual 6spd I've read that it is normal to have that clutch/transmission clunking sound sometimes. I also have when im stopped and 1st gear getting ready to take off if i have the car turned hard as if backing out of a driveway that there is a what I would describe as a gear grinding sound in the rear. but thats really the only time it does it. I don't know anything about cars fyi lol. Please let me know thanks!

I want it if its in good shape with no damage.

Pavel said it was one of the bearings on the crankshaft. Pretty much it needs rebuild...

newmedia crap...another extra $$$ needed on rebuild , Hyundai korean built engine had installed one of the crankshaft parts backwards. now the crankshaft needs to be sent out , fixed, and coated.

newmedia I hope pavel will write a build blog like they did with 2.0 engine on his web site. He knows he has all the time he needs to make custom internal engine parts to public as he see it. I am just trying to do it right first time so the engine has less issues in F/I applications. funny things is I am not asking for not more than 350whp at most for 2010 3.8 A/T using very simple rotrex c38-61 using 90mm pulley supercharger kit made by poweraxel. The system does not have water cooled intake maniford like APG rotrex supercharger kit and optional use of headers. I just want few more whp that is very reliable in long run as DD.

ByByCavalier I want to see everything!

I need journal bearings and other random engine ****, you gotta help a brother out!
