But really.. I'll look into that. Wiseman sounds like our Jr mods. (Purple names like snoop).

Green names are a step-up (they're considered Super mods and usually operate more in the background).

Red names are Admins (Do both of the above jobs)

Ever thought of having "Wisemen"? We did this on DSMTuners to allow for moderation and knowledge transfer to operate independently, and manage user expectations. This is not to say the mods can't/don't know what they are discussing technically, but it gives people that coddling/info they desperately seek by creating threads that are repeated 1000x over, or have specific technical queries.
Snoopy is our wiseman.

We are also not talking about you. These are generalized statements. It's not hard to read or follow simple guidelines. Moderators aren't here to hold new member's hands. We're here to keep the peace and ensure the rules are followed.

Numerous members were scammed out of money. This is the best we can do. If you don't like it, sell your parts on craiglist. This is a free service that we are offering to our members. Its not hard to double check yourself or read the simple guidelines. Vandyman submitted several threads with literally no content at all. Which leads me to believe that he literally took no time at all to put together a proper FS thread.

Hell we went the extra mile by putting guideline to follow! You literally just insert what it says, click "go advanced" and make sure it looks the way you want it and has all of the required content and hit submit.

I pmed several people yesterday telling them what they forgot and to try again. We do our job. You guys are quick to judge without actually seeing what's happening.

LandoAWD The point is right in front of you in your last sentence; they (we) must read and adhere to the rules. If we do that, this thread wouldn't be here, posts would be legible, and the site could be used as a RESOURCE as opposed to "social networking".

Sure, it a great place to find local meets and such where you could make friends and get to know people that share the same passion as you, but you're holding this forum up to an innapropriate standard. If you're looking for friends go to a meet, if you want an almost absurd amount of information about your vehicle, including installs, DIYs, maybe even some items for sale then you're in the right place bud.
but that's my point. this should be the ultimate social network since its our car specific. why not be be excited to help others. theres a clutch thread in the 10-12 section. instead of me saying search. it took lit 30 seconds to reply. instead of using the same time to write "newb try using search button" that's not a way to keep new members on here by discouraging them.

im not here to make a ton of friends either. but again as a MOD that is held up to higher standards than others. (which is why they are mods) they should have the courtesy to let them know why there thread wasn't approved. so they know what to do to fix it. Vandyman had no idea what was wrong. what if he would have put another fs thread up and the same thing happened. could have helped if he knew what was wrong. these mods see it all the time but as a user you may not know the rule book up and down like a mod would.

PM a mod
its a mistake. it happens. if I spent a hour making a thread and it just got deleted I would be so mad. it takes time to write up a good post. EX fs car thread. to list and go into detail takes quite a bit of time to give a potential buyer all the info they can about the car.
They have this new program called microsoft word, you can like type documents and stuff in it. Sh*t, if you really know what you're doing you can even SAVE these documents!
so lets say by mistake I accidently copy and paste the wrong url into the thread. mod sees it. they says **** it. not my problem then just leaves it or deletes. (basically what SJ did to the Vandyman) he should have pm the guy and said "hey, your links to your pics don't work. get me some correct links and ill open the thread for you.

this is the reason car forums are dying. maybe not here yet because the car is so new. but forums like Importatlanta that use to be the biggest forum on the southeast is now dead. lack of mods that give a ****. lack of keep up. lack of helping fellow members. facebook is killing the forums because its so much easier to load a pic on there. 240atlanta is the same way. zilvia is starting to go down hill.

this forum doesn't have the best rep. everytime I tell other gen owners about this forum they have nothing but negative things to say about it. its a shame because theres so much info on here. they say they rather stay on the east coast kdm page on facebook. and the number one reason they same its because of the mods attitudes on here. again not saying its a whole world owes me thing but a common courtesy. letting them know why their thread didn't get approved would be a good idea. not just delete it. they make another thread the same way how do they know what fix is all im saying.

If people want to sell their ****, and mess up their first post, do it again, stop bitching like little girls, stop making new threads, and stop wasting even more of the mods time. Time they could be spending approving for sale threads from other users.
