|shorttrack||I repeat ,DO NOT MAKE YOUR LEACH OR ENGINE TORQUE DAMPERS TENSION TIGHT .A slightly snug is all that is needed, just get the slack out .watch for when the engine starts to moves out of it's relaxed position during tightening of engine anti torque device and that is the proper '' eye balling method '' .|

|lvdukerider||I just set a small bubble level on top of the motor and snug it up untill level, you dont want it super tight just snug.|

too tight isn't good for your engine mounts.
just watch for stretching after 100 miles or so.

|Red Raspberry||I'd say tight when first installed but it will stretch. Then with the car idling tighten it so it is just about taken up all the slack. Any tighter really doesn't help but will transmit more vibration.|

|rjscott2005||I just installed one on my 2015 Ultimate 3.8 AT. I haven't really tightened it beyond being fairly taught. I feel like this thing works. I'm gonna experiment with different tightness and see what happens.|

|tj2806||I was skeptical that a small metal rope would have any perceivable impact but you can really feel it in the shifts.|

where can i order the 4th trans mount? is it the same part number as the one next to it?

Do like Red says and check the engine for movement while the car is stationary. Have someone rev the engine hard in neutral while you look in the engine bay. Dollars to donuts you will see little-to-no-movement.
We get zero engine movement with our CP-E motor mounts on Project Hoondy no matter how hard we rev up the engine.
A better combo upgrade with the CP-E motor mounts would be to continue firming up the drive-line towards the back of the car. A firmer transmission mount and especially upgrading to a fourth differential mount would continue to improve the car's performance characteristics under hard driving.
Upgraded motor mounts or an engine leash combined with a firmer trans mount and the fourth diff mount are basically requirements for hard driving on the Genesis Coupe. It just won't stand up to rough treatment with the OEM setup.
Good luck, happy tuning!

No matter what you have for mounts the leash will help as it limits how much load gets applied to them. On my car after getting the engine leash on the back of the motor, extra rear diff bushing and better trans mount, I could feel the through the shifter, the drive train will "dip" on a fast hard shift. I hope the front leash will stop this.

|socrbob||Hello Red, I have the cp-e motor mounts installed, do you think the engine lash would be necessary. Do you think it would help?|

Made one for the front of the 2L. That OE lifting bracket is pretty flimsy though.

|Red Raspberry||Actually the leash will fully support the "added" load from torque. You want just enough slack so there is no transmission of noise but not so much there is a lot of travel so excess movement caused by inertia of the engine weight is at a minimum.|
