Flooded cars are almost always permamnenrly damaged. Never buy a used car after a flooding event unless you know 100% it was not from or involved in the flood.

Not sure I will get another one even though I so dearly loved it. If they made new ones AND you have user friendly engine tuning options, it would be a no brainer.
At the moment I put a new transmission in my 03 Dodge and a crapton of money in it but NO new car payment...
So after losing the house and the car I will probably only be checking in here every now and then.
I must say my opinion of Hyundai has vastly improved over the last 20 years, not to say there is no room for improvement, My R Spec was one of the best I have ever owned and the dealership addressed my every concern and treated me as royalty.
I sure wished they made 2017's......

see yall!

damn, man. Sorry to hear that. Hope it works out for you.

Thankx Shorttrack, I do have a running pickup, may pick your mind for other things though...
Everything has been so crazy around me lately, biggest reason I have not been on the boards..
I will holler at you later.... mean meaning to anyway. Was going to come by and show you my new mods,
but you know the weight on the wheels was a wash, saved about 4 lbs on the front lost about 2 on the rear due to the
fact the 18s would not fit ( without blowing the budget into the weeds...

MOVING TO TORNADO ALLY, in a bunker... had enough of this flood crap.....
the kicker is I have weathered 3 hurricanes here and never flooded but this and my country place... too much...

The water came up to the dashboard, After being examined by the Geico Adjuster, he declared it totaled. I am waiting on the Geico Disaster Relief Team for communications on Settlement... The Flood was the 27th right? Have been without a car since then.
After submitting my invoices for the New custom Flowmaster Catback and the Wheels and tires Installed within days of the 22nd of July, I was credited for $295.00 for both.... the catback was $480 w/tax and the wheels and tires I still owe $1900+ on ( 1 payment, a rather sizeable payment but only 1 nonetheless)
The tail as turns were under water and came on intermittently and stayed on for a couple of days and the battery died when the adjuster was inspecting it, even though I had removed the neg cable after I noticed the problem... The car did start and there is no water in the engine but I only cranked it for a few minutes and have not been able to check further as well, moving out of the house and the big battery charger did not make it... may know more tomorrow...
I know what is involved with a water salvage but would still like to keep it, however the adjuster warned me they are not allowing buy backs for flood..... the kicker is I already sold my old wheels...... ARRRRRRGGG... KICK IN THE CROTCH!
Man it was just starting to get good....

I did not mention the turn as tails as they were completely under water and the tail lamps would intermittently turn on and stay on, having to disconnect the battery which died even as the adjuster looked at it.
So I did not want to pass junk off to anyone.

Falling by the Wayside

Well guys, looks like my time here may be limited,
as some of you know I just put approximately $2300 in tires and wheels, all wheel alignment, and a custom dual flowmaster exhaust, (2) 50 series flows, twas a very nice result, along with Diode Dynamics Tail as Turn w/backup LED.
Longs story short, Flood in my driveway, car totaled....... Just starting to get good.....
anyway, I just made 1 payment on the tires and wheels and I still owe 1900 willing to part with them for that and trade for ANY tires and wheels that fit, uh of course that will have to be local and soon as they will be coming for the car...
Wheels are Konig Flow Formed Integrams in Gold, 19s, 8.5 and 10.5 both in 25 offset, shod in Michelin Pilot AS 3 sport Plus ( Daily Driver ) 245/35R , 285/35R.
( Please see my thread in Tire Fitment for the Tales of Fitment Woe, for further info. )
I have the Reprint Receipt form Discount Tire show the date as 6/30/17 but that is when I paid and did not get the merchandise for 3 weeks later due to changes in the wheels. Went from Milligrams to Integrams.
There are approximately 500 miles on the tires.
