Stolen Car

Hey everyone. I woke up this morning to find my car no longer in my driveway. A week or so ago so ingrates rummaged through my **** and stole one of my keys. For whatever reason I didn't disconnect the battery last night like I typically would do until I was planning on getting my other key reprogrammed, so it would only work.

Anyway, keep an eye out for my car please.
Stolen between 12 midnight and 6am July 30.
2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8 silver
Opal red konig hypergrams, lowered, loud 3.8 turbo

Plate is ARKS227.

Had the car for 8 years as some of you know. This is killing me. Just put the turbo on over the winter.

Also, if you see the car, call the police and report the plate number and where/when you seen it. Don't want to contact me lol

Fyi, here is the article regarding the theft. The more coverage this gets, the more it may deter future thieves from jacking cars. Post to various platforms.

Doubt it. Thefts seem to be happening more nation wide.

Where I'm at, auto thefts has increased about about 200% since last year, and it's only half way into the year.

Probably the only reason why people haven't messed with my car in the last 9 years, is because it bright green .... and I don't drive like an ahole

Wonder how they stole it

I did recover the car! Long story short, the shithead must have taken it for a drug run. About 100-120km gone from the tank. No obvious damages. Will be giving it a once over tomorrow and bringing it to a shop to have it assessed.

Glad I got it back quickly, had a date with the tuner this Friday to resolve some boost cut issues. Will also have that stolen key removed from the bcm.

Here is the video I made regarding the recovery. A lot of folks on social media were on top of it and on the lookout. I'd like to think it helped recover it so fast. In fact, it wasn't the police that found it, it was a local car guy who first spotted it and let us know.

Stolen my spare key from my truck a week prior. Accidentally left it in there and got busy doing home renos, forgot about it. Then they just waited for me to let my guard down. Had the battery disconnected and the car blocked in every night except for that night.

This exact same scenario has occurred in my small town 3-4 times this year alone. A big deal for such a small community. But alas, I am doubtful it'll be solved.
