Obviously bigger/heavier wheels will effect performance to some degree. But I did get 20's. After I put them on the car, I barely noticed a difference in performance. I just can't justify spending $4k+ on ultra-lightweight forged wheels. Especially when I can spend that money on a turbo kit and REALLY increase performance :D

A friend of mine who works at a tire shop told me that tires for 19's are more expensive than any other sizes, you guys find any truth in that
pretty true. the demand for them is lower than say an 18" or 20" tire as there are very few 19" wheels available in comparison to other sizes.

The annoying thing about that is a significant larger 20" will cost a lot less than a smaller 19" tire.

So.... now you have got me thinking about doing 20s.... because I have been looking at doing another set of 19s.... and saw this post and its true.... tires for 20s are cheaper .... and hell even the wheels I want are cheaper

Looking at

Vertini Drift - Gold
- Sizes: 20x9 / 20x10.5
- Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
- Offset: +20 Fronts / +30 Rears

Drift Gold (20")

Based on my current stance with 19x9.5-10.5+22 rocking a 245/40/19-275/35/19 I was thinking of doing like (I am lowered on BC Coils-but not slammed)

235/35/20 - 265/35/20???? thoughts on that one since it seems everyone with 20s has been posting in here figured I would ask - if I should ask in the other thread just let me know :)

Incurve IS-S5's 20x9.0 and 10.5. +25 offset on both wheels. Continental ExtremeContact DW tires. 245/35 in the front and 275/30 in the back. dropped on eibach sportlines.

Gosh dang these Incurves are the freakin' spitting image of my BC Forged wheels.

How much did the Incurves weigh? Can you get them in custom dimensions? Are they a cast wheel? How much?

Thx.

^ The only difference that I can see, is that our (InCurve) front wheels aren't concaved at all, unlike the BC's. The InCurve's are cast, and weight about 27 lbs for the rear. Not sure about the custom dimensions... but anything is possible with enough money lol

these were 20x9.0 and 10.5. +25 offset on both only. i didnt have any other options or dimensions. and i believe Tilley and i both got our wheels from Joe at wheelexceuctives for a fraction of what they actually cost. best price ive seen for these wheels by FAR!

i also noticed the concave in both front and rear BC wheels, unlike the incurves.

I love how everyone needs all their faceless e-friends approval before they do a single thing to their car... jesus guys if you care that much about tracking get smaller wheels, if you don't care about performance get 20's. I don't get why everyone feels the need to waste time bitching and seeking approval from others, do what makes you happy regardless of how it may look. No one cares if you bend a wheel in a mean socal pothole or shaved 2 seconds off your lap time at the local track..

Maybe they're seeking information from both sides, and not for approval. Not everyone realizes size/weight could affect performance. Just sayin..

Will the dealer give me any Sh!t for having 20's on my car. My steering wheel is wobbling every time i go over 45. It doesn't pull or anything but from what im reading i might need a wheel alignment.

Steering wheel vibration at speed is a wheel balance issue, not alignment. Caster, camber and toe can all be off by several degrees and would cause no vibration.

Very rarely, a warped driveshaft will produce a steering wheel vibration at speed. Had a Cobra once that did that, but only at 80+ MPH.

Now those are some meaty tires. What kind of camber are you running front/rear?

The front is at -2.2 camber and the rear is closer to -1.6. Nothing extreme.

Hey guys!

I've been randomly PMing people around for some opinions and help so might as well ask everyone! ^^

I'm going to get the CV1s in matte black with these dimensions,
20x9 +20
20x10.5 +25

Hankook V12
255/30/20
285/30/20

I don't want to do any adjustments to the fender/camber and work off of pure offsets, but I feel maybe the sizing will be too close where tire rubbing may occur in the fenders?
This is my daily drive and I want to be able to feel safe going over bumps without any tire rubbing problems.

I'm going to be dropping on Sportlines, I originally wanted to do Pro-Kits but Birdmanjj9's on Sportlines and we have very similar tire dimensions.

Opinons please & thank you! ^^

Everything is going to fit fine except the 255 in the front, you will have some rubbing unless you pull your fenders or add some serious camber..

Ah! This is what I'm afraid of, a lot of people gave me different opinions. Okay so if I were to get the Pro-Kits though I should be totally a-okay? Tilley, whose dropped on Pro-Kits with the same tire dimensions as me and similar wheel set up said he would have gone with Sportlines.

Am I the only one who loves the look of the stock 19" rims? Just needs a good powder coating.
I personally like how the OEM 19"s look! I haven't gotten to see them in person yet, but even in pictures they look nice. I think even the OEM 18"s are okay, they're going to be my Winter wheels. :>
