Hi guys,

I tried searching but couldn't find a relevant thread in regards to a problem I'm facing.

I just bought a 2010 Genesis coupe 2.0t manual not too long ago. The car is bone stock with no mods and has about 128,000 kilometers on it.

I notice when I am on the highway and in either 5th or 6th gear past 3k rpm, the car runs really heavy. As if its under a lot of load and is working harder past 3k rpm.

Any idea what gives or where I should start the diagnostic efforts?

Thanks in advance!

What do you mean exactly by running more heavy? Please be more specific in order to trouble shoot the problem accordingly

The rear end gearing on the 2010's is very low, 3.92:1, and the tranny gears are also very low, so it makes the car rev around 3,250 RPM's while just cruising around 65MPH in 6th gear. They raised the rear end ratio in the 11's and up, but not by much, 3.7X:1. It's just meant to be rev'd. You can switch out a V-6 rear like a lot of guys have done, it's ratio is 3.5X:1.
