I have a quick question...if anyone can help me. I am very interested in installing HID fog lights and headlights. I have the premium 2.0 and in the manual it says that you shouldn't install HID....ehhh yeah right, I can do this right? It says that it can mess up the wiring in the radio or something like that????

Nope, nothing will happen when you install the HIDs in terms of your other electronics. Just make sure you disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before installing them.

This car is a little different in the design of how the headlight bulbs are placed as there is only one wire from the headlight assembly to the car whereas other cars have separate wires for each bulb. To install the HIDs, you will have to install a ~1" hole in the dust cap.

Here's a good DIY that you could follow.

If you don't feel confident doing HIDs yourself you could find an installer or depending on where you live, a forum member may help you install them also.
I always thought the Premiums came with HIDs...

Anyway, as CowCow said, its a straight forward and easy process.

Except, I found that drilling a 7/8" hole, then using a file to get a small notch and wedging the assembly through didn't create such a loose feeling.

I think it was only the 3.8 premium that came with HID's. Only 2010 2.0T that had HID's was the track model.
Please don't put HID in the fogs. Just blinds oncoming traffic and doesn't add to the usefulness of the light...
Thank you so much for your help :) I appreciate it

Your car looks good...I love that red

If they're 3000k they do! No glare in the snow and rain. The stabbings from other drivers come free as well.
lol :)
So are you guys saying that the 3.8 Track already comes with HID's? If so what color intensity are they?

Yes the track comes with HIDs. All oem equiped HIDs (from all manufacturers) come with 4300k bulbs. The reason you might see a different colour is because the lense filters/refracts all the other colours away so that the driver sees white light.

Not true. Yes they are not projector housings, but they point very low and do not blind anyone. 3K bulbs do help with fog/mist and night driving. But you are entitled to you opinion :)
