Good Afternoon,

I have an issue where my car wont start. I checked the car computer and there are no codes to reference, Replaced the battery and changed the fuel pump. I checked all the fuses and they are good to go as well. I understand this has been an issue on genesis cars but I cannot seem to find the proper solution, If anyone has any advice thats had experience with this would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Andrew

Sorry, not aware of any wide-spread issues. You are pretty vague. Can you better define precisely what is happening? Does it not crank over? Does it crank over fine? That makes a huge difference. If it is cranking I would go back to basic troubleshooting. With it cranking, remove the plugs and verify spark on all four. If you have spark then move on to fuel. I may be out of school here. but if you checked the spark plugs while cranking I would expect to smell a bit of gas coming from my open cylinders.

My son-in-law had a crank, but no start condition on his Elantra and he had a bad ignition coil. These should be replaced in pairs by the way. He had it towed to a shop and they were able to diagnose and fix it quickly. Ignition coils are pretty sturdy, but they do fail now and then.
