Acura has announced that it will debut the newly refreshed 2012 TL at the Chicago Auto Show next month. Details are slim as of this writing, but the automaker says that the 2012 model "further enhances its position in the segment with aggressive, yet refined styling and performance."

In its current form, the TL has been praised for its high-quality and tech-friendly interior, not to mention the relatively impressive driving dynamics of the SH-AWD 6MT model. However, the biggest deal-breaker for the current TL has been its styling, which has garnered a whole slew of negative praise - especially the angular front fascia. We'll have the full details on the 2012 TL closer to its official debut on February 9, so stay tuned.

Coming from Honda, I'm waiting for an epic face palm.

The car already weighs close to 4,000 lbs and is gigantic
I LOL'd when they first released the new TL, braggin about the "most powerful Honda V6 ever". It made a whole wopping 2hp more than the RL.

IMO Honda and Acura have lost their way, big time. There isn't one car from either manufacturer I'd be willing to spend my money on. They're the ONLY manufacturers I couldn't see buying a car from, unless held at gun point.
Is it just me or is this company a decade behind everyone with their endless resistance to adopting rear wheel drive or V8s?
What i feel like Hyundai is doing now days is what Honda was doing back when they first debut in America, they take the specs from the American companies and enhance the look of the cars drastically.

But now American Honda/Acura has built their own line of looks, and its failing HARD! No offense to the civic owners, I used to own a 1999 civic, and till this day I find the older civics looks MUCH MUCH MUCH x1000000 better than the civic we have now days.

Spec wise I feel they concentrate too much on technology rather than performance, hence the TL, RL, TSX are all fail lineups (esp the newer gens)
Bring back the NSX, or even the S2000. WTF Honduh?

Both of the cars you mention was overpriced. What they need to do is this. Make a RWD, futuristic looking version of a RSX with the engine from the RDX(2.3l Turbo) and a base price of 23k and call it the Honda Integra. When that happens I will have some respect.
Honda's appeal is derived mainly from its obsession over quality, technological advancement, and efficiency. But they're starting to lose their competitive edge as the competitors are catching up and passing Honda, Hyundai especially. Honda, like Toyota, has pulled out of any niche markets and they're going straight for the mainstream crowd. The people who buy Impalas because they view driving only as a necessary daily task.

^^And keep dreaming about a rwd integra. If anything, if by some wild means they did bring it back, Acura would make it supa!handring awd.
I still remember the first day my dad came home with his new, 1991 red Acura legend coupe.

That car was so damn nice for its day....now, the RL is just a WTF?
