Hey guys I'm trying to install an aftermarket double din radio in my 2013 grand touring with the infinity sound system. I didn't do enough research and just now realized that this model has a stock amplifier. I can't seem to find any documentation on this and am not sure where to go from here. Do I need to replace the amp or is there a harness I can use to connect to aftermarket radios?

Reading up on it more... is it as easy as connecting putting an LOC between the aftermarket unit and the factory amplifier?

Found two harnesses from Axxess that will let you have an aftermarket radio with the factory amplifier. It comes with the harness to allow for steering wheel controls as well:

Axxess AX-HYKIA1-SWC Wiring Interface

Metra AX-HYKIA-SPDIF Interface

Some things to note:
  • Fader doesn't seem to work so most of the audio pumps out through the front speakers of the car. Not the biggest issue.
  • Auto-dimming of the aftermarket unit when headlights are turned on doesn't work 100% either. This is probably user error/
