Replacing the flywheel, clutch and slave.

What do you guys lubricate on the slave? Just the front bearing surface and splines? I assume that would do it, but I've seen some slaves that recommend no lube on the front bearing surface (where it contacts the pressure plate).

Yeah... I didn't either.

The difference between the POS factory DMF and clutch, and this traditional solid flywheel/sprung clutch setup is like night and day. My car now feels like every other manual transmission I've driven for the last 40 years. No more clunk, no more hestation between the clutch grabbing and the DMF catching up, and I can actually feel the clutch engage.

Whoever it was that decided that the stock DMF/sprung clutch was a good design should be strung up by their noodles.
