I've had the DC Sport 3" catback installed for a few weeks now, and recently added a Megan racing down pipe. In searching I've seen that other people have experienced the brutal rattle coming from the heat shield just past the secondary cat or test pipe. I tried to hammer it up further, and adjust the hangers as best I could, but it still rattled. So tonight I just took the heat shield off.
Now I don't really want to leave the bushing there exposed to the heat from my exhaust, I'm assuming it will melt the boot in time. Looking into using exhaust wrap in that 4ft section. Good idea, bad idea? As for wrap, I've read you wet it, wrap it as tight as possible, and once dry spray with high temp coating. Anybody know how this holds up to weather (Canadian winters)?
Thanks
