Every link I have found just says to turn counter clockwise and the knob will come off, which isn't true for the 2013 Premium, which makes me think no one has changed their auto knob.

So I unscrewed the screw on the back and the knob comes straight off with the shaft (without turning) BUT the part that remains is not threaded, which means my shift knob is useless.

Someone told me that I have to take the knob itself off of the shaft thing, and it will be threaded, but I see no way to do that. Any tips?

It's little and short. Mine was a PITA to get out of the shift knob, even after pulling the shift knob off. A parts guy at my Hyundai dealer could not find it in the parts "book".
