Are CAI's easy to remove to go back to stock?

A CAI will more than likely be my first performance mod, and I'm just wondering if it's easy to reverse the change for warranty work. Tried searching with the google search and came up with nothing.

Well a CAI is gonna require you to take off the bumper most likely. Some people have been able to take out the AEM CAI by just going from the wheel fender I think.

takes me 35-45 minutes, it's easy to take off the bumper and the intake.
yeah its a very easy install but you shouldnt have to take it off when taking your car to the dealer
Thanks for the info!
Oh, and when you are ready, give me a shout. We give good prices and won't be beat :D
In a word, yes.
easy yes , but it would take around 90 minutes put every screw and parts back together.:)
hmm call your dealer and just ask them if they'll install it. I called mine today and said they would charge around $100 to install
Is there ever going to be a thread that a vendor doesn't pop into to try to make a sale...

They are easier to remove than they are to install..just a thought.
no.
The aem seems to be the best for a fast install
im probably pulling mine out in the upcoming week. ill let you know how long it takes.
check with the dealer. Mine asked if the stock air flow sensor was being reused, and if it was then install it, and bring by the car so they could check it out. As long as that was intact they wouldn't have any issues with it.

Since then I've had my tranny worked on, and head unit replaced, no issues. I think most dealers are cool with intakes... his only warning was if i go through a lake and hydro-lock the motor I'd be SOL but that shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone.

Edit: point is ask... if they dont care then it doesnt matter how hard it is.
So, I just put my intake back to stock.

Putting the stock washer bottle back in is the hardest part, getting bolts out of tight places is easier than back in.

Still a very easy task.

AEM CAI for sale :)
Just make sure the dealer ever spots it on, like if for some reason the trans blows and need it towed or something they always void warrentys like that. my last car did that

It's a business, that's why we pay to be on here as such. Also, it is not like the thread goes off track or spammed at all. Just trying to help all members in all aspects of modding there car from start to finish.
