Ark downpipe

Hey guys, I got a question about the ark down pipes. Before everyone tells me to use search, I've already done it. I've even gone as far as calling a few vendors. Do the Ark headers remove the primary cats or are they a direct replacement to the stock ones? I'm planning to keep my cats and would rather avoid the test pipe for warranty purposes. Hopefully someone who has installed the downpipes can help me out with their install experience. Thanks a million fellow gen owners! :dunno:

Ok cool, so essentially I can replace the downpipes and leave everything else intact. So with the downpipe, there would be no need to even use the test pipe for my current setup then? I'm assuming the horsepower torque gains won't be as high because there's still some stock restriction.

Many say that test pipes can cause you to lose power also. If you are actually considering headers and dp, I would suggest you leave the test pipes out of the picture... causes a lot of rasp at lower rpms.

OK has anyone proven gains from full header swap assuming they already had Cat-back? I assume full header swap is headers plus down pipe. Also has anyone done a full header swap and not thrown a check engine light. I see that people have used the h-pipe test pipes to replace secondary cats and actually saw a loss of TQ.

SFR recommends either headers, downpipe, stock secondary cat, catback, or stock exhaust manifold, downpipe, testpipe, catback. You need to leave either the primary or secondary cats to still retain some back pressure. If you open it up all the way you lose torque.

These are the two options, and requirements for their stage 1.5 tune.
