Hello, this is my first post on this forum! I have a 2011 3.8 Genesis Coupe that I just got and I obviously want to put an exhaust on it. At first, I was thinking of getting a muffler and resonator delete but some people said it was just too loud and had too much drone. I was wondering if anyone knows what a good solution would be to get a cat-back exhaust on the louder side that sounds decent and isn't raspy but also bearable when going long distances on the highway. I also just don't want it where my brain rattles lol. The top of my budget is around $500.

Simple....test pipes. When I just had a CBE.. I could hear the intake roar from my injen sri. Installed the test pipes...and all i could hear was exhaust. Test pipes are the " icing on the cake "

If you want rasp, go test pipes. Been there, done that.

If you leave the secondary cats on, you have a lot more freedom to play with cat-back options, either out of the box or custom, and still stay close to your budget. My recommendation would be some custom resonators paired to your stock, or custom tips. Find a shop that does good stainless work, don’t cheap out with mild steel.
