So last night I went to start my 2015 3.8 coupe and it was cold out. I unlocked the car and pushed the brake then pressed the ignition button but by accident I took my foot off the brake in like half a second after the car proceeded to start up. The whole system just shut off for a good 7 minutes couldn’t even lock the doors or nothing, was just dead. What could have caused that?
a confused car. I put my car into gear before it finished cranking (automatic with 750cc injectors) and it blew a fuse + shorted my boost solenoid. Had to purchase a new one. Left me stranded at the grocery store until I figured it all out.
If you have an automatic, and released the brake pedal, while it was cranking, it "shouldn't" have caused any problems.
If I had to guess, it's an unrelated issue to when the brake was released.
