CD/MP3 Disc skipping

Anyone else have a problem with a cd/mp3 disc sorta skipping or sounding like there is static in the songs? I've used 2 different brands of cdr's and both do this in the Genesis yet neither do in my wife's Camry or in the pc.

Didn't see anything in search.
