So within the past 6 weeks or so, Ive noticed the clutch pedal on my 2.0T making odd clunking sounds and it had different feeling in the pedal.

During my last oil change I mentioned it. The Tech said it might just be stiffening up due to the cold and he lubed it a little and told me to keep an eye on it to see if it continued.

Well, about one month later it is much worse, making the sound and the odd feeling during every shift. The car drove just fine, the clutch pedal just felt and sounded wrong.

So, back to the dealer for a longer inspection and test drive. The Tech discovered that one of the bolts that holds the entire clutch pedal assembly had come loose and the whole assembly was moving around every time the clutch was depressed/released. He took out the bolt, applied some Loc-Tite, re-installed and torqued it down to proper specs. No more noise and no more movement. Drives perfect now.

Might be worth checking out for those of you with similar issues.
