I spent a few hours flushing my engine coolant with ozonated distilled water, it dawned on me that the ozone could be harmful. After researching a bit I found some useful information that the half-life of ozone in water is about 20 mins at 20C. After just a day of sitting at the store the ozone concentration reduces to a proportion of 2.1x10^-22 of the initial concentration so theoretically ozonated distilled water shouldn’t be any different than using regular distilled water. However I like anecdotal evidence, so I’m wondering if anyone has experience using ozonated distilled water for their coolant flushes?
Side note: I only used the ozonated distilled for the flush, but used aluminum safe Hyundai OEM coolant/ deionized water (70/30) for the last fill so there’s only about 1L of the ozonated distilled water from the prior flush left in the system.
