It's no wonder you got the code P2261 then as it points to a mechanical issue with the BOV.

like i know a guy who has a block off plate on youtube with a piranha tune. and he didnt get a check engine light is why i askedIt's no wonder you got the code P2261 then as it points to a mechanical issue with the BOV.
Not trolling. Do your own research. Flutter vs surge. A bov isnt mandatory. People have went 15+ years without a bov/ bpv running same turbo. It barley harms most people will tell you myths about it.Did you put a block off plate without having a new place to put the bov? Can you research why a bov is needed in a turbo application? Then you'll see why you're getting the flutter you love so much.
Hope you are trolling.
Ahh really? Lol Red im just being a lil sarcastic.?It's no wonder you got the code P2261 then as it points to a mechanical issue with the BOV.
Hey man how are you? Seen your short videos on youtube. Yes you will continue to get a cell when you run a block off plate and not correctly bypass the stock bpv. Obviously reason being "As you already know" your changing or modifying something or adding/removing a part that the factory never intended for use running the stock parameters.Got this code when i did the bov bypass. Went back to stock. It went away. Then i added a block off plate and it happened again. just tried this mod. If i get check engine light will update

Hey!Hi All,
I was having the " P2261 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Bypass Valve - Mechanical " ecu error code you get when switching to an aftermarket BOV and running line directly to IM, however mine never through a CEL. But I have found the problem why it was causing this and have found a fix for this issue. Not sure if it's the same for the 2013 as I've never looked at their boost/vacuum solenoids.
PROBLEM: Capping the boost solenoid BPV port with a vacuum nipple cap. This was making the ECU think it's "stuck" closed as it's not getting any response from this port anymore.

FIX: Remove the cap, add a hose to it like normal, but T into the existing vacuum/boost line right under it.
