Droid/Bluetooth issue

I dont know and I appologize if this has been discussed prior. The only time my phone connects to my car is under initial start-up, mainly when I start my car in the morning. Now, when I get out of the car to go inside at all it looses connection and it a HUGE PITA to try to get it to reconnect if at all. If anyone has any ideas of how to make it stay connected or an easy way to reconnect it I will be very grateful. Again, my appologies if this has been brought up prior.

I actually have the exact same problem.

If I don't connect my car upon start-up, my Android always connects, disconnects, reconnects, repeat.

Do you happen to have a Task Killer installed? Even when I added my Bluetooth to the exceptions list, but it still happens to me.

Android 2.1 here
My fascinate is running 2.1 and yes I have the ATK on my phone but I dont think that blocks anything

Try adding your BlueTooth to the ignore list and see if it helps. It didn't for me, but you never know.
I had this problem a lot too. I found a good fix was to put the 'power control' widget on my home screen. This allows you to turn off and on bluetooth quickly.

Frequently, the phone will connect right up to the car. When it doesn't, I had to go to the Car's phone screen -> settings -> connections -> connect AFTER resetting bluetooth on my phone.

Not ideal, but this works with consistency for me...
when you say "resetting" what process do you go through, I also have the widget for bluetooth but I think that the car has to be in search mode also like when the car first starts up?

With my Bluetooth widget, I touch it to turn it on. If the phone has already been paired, it should automatically connect, even if the car is not searching.

My problem is the connection drops frequently, and reconnects, then drops again. It's really annoying - I can't use it at all with this phone for some reason.
Resetting means turning bluetooth off and then back on. The car only needs to be in search mode to make to pair (initial connnection when you have to put in the '0000" code)

After that the phone treats the car like headphones. When the phone's BT is turned on, it searches for paired devices and should automattically connect.

Sometimes this doesn't happen, and at this point i've found it best to try to connect using the cars interface.

I'm sorry if this has confusing and I really hope this helps.
Fixed it, bought the iPhone 4, works perfect everytime, no resetting no nothing!!!!!!!!
Yeah, this just goes to show it's the droid that's screwing up.
yep, its flawless, streaming audio, getting in and out of the car it resync's everytime, it even chimes when i get a text through the audio.
So with the iPhone 4, do apps such as Pandora Radio show up on the Touch Screen to be controlled on the screen and not have to use the phone such as with an aux cable
