I need stronger ones for the trunk. It won't even popup a little bit.
Trunk shocks would be amazing!
Mine pops up like 0.000000001mm when I unlock it.
It will stay open, but I need to hold it to close it. Otherwise it sounds like the Hulk smashed it closed.

most people remove their shock, because of CF hood, and just use a prop stick. :p

i actually waited to get my hood just because i didnt want to spend $1000 and then use hood prop. i started with a softer single shock and then made the dual setup.

you mean for a carbon fiber trunk? i was thinking of getting a set made but i thought everybody was just leaving 1 stock shock connected. thats how i have mine with no problems. i will look into it
I have a track with the factory spoiler. It won't and never has popped up any. It unlocks and you have to lift it. The OE struts hold it up OK once open.

on my escort i was able to put a washer under the rubber and that was enough to get the hood to pop up when hitting the button

My 2012 Track with the factory wing spoiler has 2 shocks,. They are up under the back deck where you can't see them without craning your neck to see them. I think they only hold the trunk lid when it's fully open. The spoiler is so heavy that when you click the trunk popper it will only open enough to get a finger under it to open it, or lift it with the spoiler. When closing it, don't get any body parts under the trunk because it slams with a vengeance!

I thought they were springs. I'll have to take a look.

I don't like how the trunk swings open. It takes away from a lot of the trunk space.

The spoiler makes a good handle.
