Hi guys. Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I’m just curious. Last 2 weeks while I was running in the freeway 65mph my pulley/tentioner broke and it cut off my drive belt. I had to drive for 3 mins to exit freeway and pull on the side. My car reached max temp for 2 mins and I noticed my car went into limp mode. I got it towed to my nearest hyundai service. They fixed it good as new, when I first started it, my engine sound changed from minimal growl sound to aggresive growl sound. (I have a resornator and muffler delete).
Car became more responsive and faster and soo loud after that incident happened. I know my car is not in limp mode anymore because I can go over 5,000 rpm. Is that normal?

Who knows but maybe it was running bad before because if the tensioner and belt situation and getting it fixed improved the car performance? How hot was the oil and coolant temps?
