I'm not familiar with anything in the Sunshine state but I will be moving down there (my coupe included) this month. Wondering if anyone here is involved with the scene there and can tell me where the good tracks and events are :D

What part of Florida?
West Coast, Tampa, but I'll travel up to 5 hours for a track day. I know a lot goes down in Miami.
Its really looking like it Ben!

It would be nice to be able to run Havoc in nice weather 365 days a year, and I can expand my customer base.

I live to go to car shows, meets and the race track, I'd love to be able to do it all year instead of the May-September season we have in the northeast
Of Course! I can take care of my Southeast customers easier now.

We'll be offering more services also, now that I have a bigger personal space to work out of. I'll be running custom interior/exterior work (headlights, taillights, interior etc.) specials and all the good stuff!

Im about 80% ready to go!
sweet looks ill be making a trip to tampa after the Dragon run mayb before who knows
stop by on your way down :)

Sounds great... I'd actually like to take part in the Dragon Run, I'm not 100% yet on that but its a possibility. And maybe we can get a nice post-Dragon run FLORIDA MEET going. Possibly hit up Fort DeSoto or somewhere nice to take pics.

stop by on your way down :)
I'll definitely try my best, I'll let you know when Im traveling!
Not sure what part your looking at but Central Florida Racing Complex(Orlando) holds a bunch of events. AutoX once a month and drifting twice a month.

The Desoto track is usually does a practice drift session bi-monthly.

Theres a good group of forums, tamparacing.com is huge and has a lot of people around the state on it. SFLdrifters.com is the site for drifting but you have to apply to be a member to try and keep the "authorities" off it. And then theres swflracing.com which again is you have to apply. Usually on both those last forums everyone is nice and everyone gets "granted" permissions. I've been all the 3 of them for years.
^ awesome thanks alot!

tamparacing website doesn't seem to work though
Strange cause Im on it right now lol
yes!!!!!!! i'm in orlando been waiting for some thing good like this to happen (also whats up with the guage pods been waiting)well as they say there are things going on almost all year long they just opened back the the tracks in the are last week trust me you have some guys here. Oh yeah planing on see later on in the year to do a dragon tail run with some of the cobolt guys
^ Guage pods are coming shortly, hang in there!!!

If anyone has more info on the road courses in Orlando, please fill me in on what types of events and competitions they have... Or if your a part of or know of any clubs that do open track days, let me know, ready with my $$ :)

Yeah buddy!! Thats how we do it down here :)
Definitely look into track/autox days at Sebring.
I'm going in two weeks so Ill let ya know what its like
Google is your friend. You can find quite a few autocross type meet ups and what not.

I will say, I once was a member of tamparacing.com. That site is a joke. It is filled with 98% ricers. One of the worst sites I have ever been on.
