Hey everybody just here looking to see if anybody is interested in getting a tune. Not trying to rain on anybody's parade who are getting PowerAxel as I do have respect as what these tunes can do. The date we would be looking are in the month of March right before Spring kicks in. We are also looking into getting a dyno for fine tuning.

Further information about the SFR reflash

Below are feedback threads from individuals who have received the ecu reflash and thoughts on it.

SFR 2.0T Reflash feedback thread

SFR 3.8 V6 Reflash feedback thread

If there are any questions regarding prices and any other questions, Jay would be glad to chime in to answer =D

So whos in? I know YOU are.
Let me know and I will add you to the list.

1)2.0TCoupeL(custom tune)

For the custom tune we will be doing it on a seperate day rather than the same day as the canned tunes.
As discussed with Jay I am pretty sure we have a location for the custom tunes. I will keep you all updated when I find out.

I certainly want to get a flash, but I drive a 3.8 and I want a module so that I can change back to stock anytime I need to. So at this point, whichever company comes up with the solution....I'll go with them

Ummm.... none. I dont think any company is even planning a 3.8 module.
maybe it will come out this year but I don't think early this year or anytime soon yet/
I agree that it will be sometime, but they are starting to understand there is a growing demand for the 3.8 and it's just a matter of the Return on Investment. I think it's just a good idea to keep letting them know the interest is out there. They already can flash the ECU so there is progress. Until then I'll keep writing to Santa. Lol
yo lance....gettttt outttt ROFLCOPTER :D
This has been discussed many times but 3.8 has a totally different ECU manufacture and kind compared to the ones in 2.0T.
3.8 V6 comes with totally different versions on ECUs that will only work for each cars and equipped with immobilizer that it's impossible to come up with any modules.
Also, there is no need to turn it back to stock at any reasons when we are giving you the orginal data modifieed showing all orginal calibration # on ECU, Vin number, etc.

I believe u owe me an PM on the grills ;)
My concern for going back to stock is for when I take car to dealership. 1. Make sure they dont know the ECU was tampered with. 2. In case they make an update to ECU and wipe away something I paid money for

I have to agree with Shamrock.. with both of his comments
This has been also answered many times but

1. They would not know with their regular rountine of check up by scanner on OBD2 port like I said it will show all original calibration # and VIN on the car.
If you are so worried about warranty, first thing dealers will point out to you would be some visual mods like intake, exhaust, etc. ECU reflash can't be seen or scanned.
We do not gaurantee anything about warranty situation tho but so far I haven't heard any problems going into dealers and getting caught or something since we started doing the reflash.
Please ask your fellow Gencoupe owners in Ontario that has our reflash. We've done at least 35+ cars in your area only so far yet to hear any problems.

2. That would be worst case senario but I believe they only reflash partial.
If they wipe out with new data which hard will happen unless you request it.
Our reflash will be better than any updates coming from Hyundai anyways, so there is no point for any updates.
Last time I checked their recent update was like making your A/C cooler or something which you don't really need anyways.

about now DJHaose should chime in here for the 3.8 guys =D
Sorry Eric lol =P
O.K...Fair enough..So what is the cost for a Flash for a 3.8?

I did find it amusing that on my first question you were fairly thorough to explain how it can't be discovered, but then came the quick disclaimer that there is no gaurantee from SFR for Warranty situations.

At least If I knew the cost, I could decide if I want to risk it...especially on point two of it being wiped.
You have the right to know before hand of any service being done to your car so you can prevent it from happening. To be honest every visit to the dealer so far as long as you don't ask for any ecu software update they wont give it to you.

Don't quote me but I think 600 - 650 is original price but Jay can be nice and give the reflash for 400 =D

This has been also discussed many times lol Welcome to July, 2010.
Of course, we don't gaurantee anything about the reflash getting caught by your dealer or something.
Did you know by mentioning anything about the reflash on your sig or on the forum being monitored by your dealer or someone or yourself could accidently or intentionally mention that your dealer? That sure is something that we have no control of and some dealers will do whatever to void your warranty ,so we don't gaurantee anything about your warranty situation.

Price is STILL $400 but we should be going back to reg price very soon.
It's now to the point that a lot of people have been educated by results and feedbacks and proven by us unlike the hard times with keyboard warriors in the beginning when we started offering this service. $400 is a promotional price and it's worth more than any bolt ons all combined together (which sould be somewhere $1000-$3000), and reg price is $650

At this time of ECU reflash tour going back to T.O should be $400 USD again, and it could be the last opportunity to get it done @ this price.

Jay....Would there be issues if I got the flash in March and then added an intake after the fact? I am waiting on cp-e to come out with their 3.8 intake (personal preference on design over Injen or AEM). Believe me...I am slowly trying to convince myself of this mod
You will be convinced yourself firmly if you go look at the threads and feedback from your fellow Gen coupe owners after the reflash
(Located under Canada section when we threw the reflash tour TWICE in T.O also feedback section under our subforum)
If you are just looking to get canned tunes, No you don't need anything.
Our canned tune will act like stock ECU that will learn by itself and adapt all the basic bolt-ons unless you go with something hardcore like bigger injectors, cams, etc.
All you have to do is reset the ECU by pulling the fuse, and it will be all set
i might be in for the tune to to gain the extra PSI and faster shift for auto in sports mode

i already have the reflash, was the 1st auto to get reflash on the 1st tour in toronto and i still smile when i punch it but i want more ooopmh and wanna see if there is a different in the faster shift for the auto when in sports mode
