Why the quick press and let up followed by a second press of the start button? In 12 years I've always just pushed the clutch in, put my other foot on the brake and pressed the start button till it fires up.
Not sure that's a solenoid clicking or not.
I've not had an issue with the Coupe but I've had issues on other cars/trucks over the years when the battery terminals/posts had some corrosion on them. You can see the white flaky looking crud on them. Pull the battery cables/clamps off the posts (negative first) after loosening the nuts/clamps and clean the corrosion off with a steel brush. Clean the posts and the clamps and then reattach the clamps to the posts (positive first) and try it again. Even then the battery may need to be charged up some.
