I can't believe a thread was started just for this bullshit. Didn't you start one just like it a couple days ago and the mods locked it because it was a retarded question that you could have found the answer to in like 15 seconds of searching?

Do you guys notice the increase from tuning?
I'd expect we'll still see a couple more threads before this is all over with :door:

I have to say, if you keep having to ask, then you shouldn't do it. These tuning events can't keep having people on the fence. Your guys socal event already shortened our Norcal tuning session so I'd be pissed if the event isn't a go because people backed out.

I was at SFR in PA last Saturday and talked to [email protected] about the tune and he said that yes boost cut is still an issue and the full release of stage 1 wont be complete until he figures out what the problem is with the boost cut and oil temp map to lower the oil temp so you can hit full boost at a lower oil temp.

I'd be saying looking into a custom tune either by SFR or BTR over a canned tune.
Something about a one tune fits all kinda makes me nervous.
Every car was broken in differently, driven differently, has different gas/oil, different driver, different climate.. IMO.. a custom tune is the way to go.
Custom tune sure is always better.
However, not everyone can afford to pay $ involved in custom tune especially the ones planning on getting more bolt ons put on in the future (since it will need another custom tunes everytime you add more bolt ons).
This is why we offer both solutions and let the canned tune guys still take advantages all the goodies from canned tune then get a custom tune when we are doing tours and stuffs.
We are known to charge only partial for returning customers, it still well worth it doing that route.

I heard auto's still got problems with the SFR .5 tune with boost cut? I think we're supposed to wait till the SFR stage 1 Tune to get all the kinks and bugs fixed.
I would not call that's a problem honestly. Yes both MT/AT still getting into boost cut time to time (We've seen more on the ones with bolt ons since it will make more boost than bone stock obviously) but this has also seen and reported by the guys are on stock tunes.
As we've been promising to customers, Stage 1 absolutely will be a free upgrade. It's just a matter of you want more power now (with some boost cuts that will happen time to time like even the ones with stock ECUs would do) or later (with oil temp/boost cut fixed).
So far we've been getting nothing but positive feedbacks from the guys are on Stage 0.5 (Of course they are getting instant 30-40whp 50-70lbs torque(bone stock)) though some are getting into boost cut once a while.

I have the SFR .5 pre tuned ECU, turboXS GT CBE, ISIS dp & tp, Weir Tech cateless 02 pipe and Weir Tech SRI. I've gotten boost cut and gone into limp mode twice. Each time it happened my traction control was not disabled. I do not have any issues when traction control is disabled regardless of how hard I beat the car.

:gc-smiley-sign-i-ag... Samehere while traction control is enabled I notice the boost cut, but once it is disabled boost cut doesn't seem to be a problem again no matter how much I beat on the car.
