Headlight assembly upgrade

Hi All! My 2013 3.8 GT has the OEM HEADLIGHTS. I find the light really dim. I
Changed to what should be much brighter LED bulbs but still find it dim. Has anyone swapped out the whole assembly to a brighter modern LED setup? I think the OEM housing has a damn shield in front of the bulb. Anyone tried removing that??

I too hated the yellow halogens in my '13 GT. I bought a $65 set of Hikari LED's from Amazon and installed them. It was worse than the OEM halogens! After a couple of weeks of not seeing, I put $70 Silverstar Gold XTE halogens in. I could see again, but they were still pretty yellow, which didnt match my 6000K fogs. When a bulb finally blew about 7 months later I found some Hella Optilux Extreme White halogen bulbs. These are 100w vs 55w and I cannot praise them enough! These are white enough to match my fogs, and bright enough to see great again! Best of all they are like $25 on Amazon! I've had them in for 3 months now with no issues related to excess heat or anything.

yeah, I believe its the way the housing is constructed with that deflector in front of the bulb. Has anyone been able to remove the deflector or replaced the whole assembly? If so, any recommendations for an upgraded headlight assembly?

Low Beams should be a projector lense (H7)? At least for BK2's. Only High beam would have a reflector housing.
my ride is 2013 GT
Then you have a projector lense with H7's for Low Beam and reflector lense with H7's as well for High Beam. Fogs are H8.
