Hey guys i just bought a used 2010 Genesis 2.0t and need some serious help.

the top part of the console isnt the green lcd that the other car i saw had. Instead it has this Unavi i think thats what its called. The prob with it is i cant get anything to come up on the screen, it dosnt have any mapes and when i push xm or fm on the console by the power button tuner you hear music and all but its not on the screen it sits at where i left it (nav screen, music, settings, ect)

was woundering if this was a stock thing for them or a mod. you can mess with the audio equilizer on it to but dont notice a change. also all the pics of interiors of the 2.0 dosnt have this screen or it says coupe under it.

Press Etc and hit the "Trip" icon. It should come up automatically. If it doesn't come up manually or automatically you may need to check and make sure everything is hooked up right.
just tried it and it said it cannot find file need to execute
^ what Crooked said to get your radio display. You can set it to automatically appear in the settings menu.

The equilizer only affects media played through the uNavi, not through the headunit.
The uNavi is a mod, it's not stock.
There should be a little black USB/SD card box in the glove box, make sure that there is a SD card in there. If there isn't, make sure there isn't one somewhere in the car, contact the dealership to see if they know of one or can get ahold of the previous owner and see if he/she still has it.

you'll need to download the trip file and put it on a SD card, the nav soft can either be obtained from PowerAXEL or you could just install the iGo software that everyone seems to be switching to.

Give me a minute and I'll get you a link for the trip file.
You'll need an SD card for this:

Trip File: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

To use the latest trip file you'll also need the latest OS version: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Update through the menu, sometimes it will seem like it's froze.. but it won't have, it just takes a bit to update.
i was looking up more info on it and it says i need the os sytem thats on a sd card. apparently it wasnt there, so i was woundering is there a way to download this os on a sd card or do i gotta buy a new one?
ok thank you so much. so these should be the files i just need? or am i still missing the os. is there a certain capacity size of sd card or type that the sytem takes also?
the second link is the OS you need.
the unavi comes with an 8GB SDHC card, you could probably get away with a 2gb one until you get the nav software.
Thanks for all your help got it up and running. Just asking were could i get these map packs. Also for music on that tab how do you use that i can use my ipod on the ect. Just wanted to see how much of a differance it would make using the sound adjustment thing. Thats all i can really think of for now unless you know were i can get a users manual so i learn all this great stuff about this little system.

Once again thanks so much for all the help:D
ok well my friend had a flash drive laying around and what do you know that what it was! But now my question is when i play from there it only plays from the little speaker is there a reason why. I watched your intall vid and it talked about that one little noise filter cable i have it but its not hooked up to anything could this be the cause and would i have to pull the navi out and hook it up in the back?
You have to hook it up to the aux jack under the arm rest. Since the Unavi is aftermarket it doesn't have a direct tie in to the audio system. You have to plug it into the car like a regular mp3 player for audio.
To get the SpeedNAVI software that originally came with it, you'll have to call PowerAXEL.

To get iGo, just browse the web or look in this thread: http://www.gencoupe.com/poweraxel/39074-unavi-general-discussion-thread.html
which I recommend you read anyways to familiarize yourself with the unit.

I haven't got my iPod to work with it yet, but there shouldn't be a difference between using that and using the equilizer on your ipod.

If you e-mail or call PowerAXEL they'll also be able to provide you with a PDF version of the owners manual.

^ and yeah what crooked said, it doesn't tie into the OEM system directly, so you'll have to figure out how the original owner wired in the sound, if he did at all.

gawd I hate missing posts, that noise-filtered cable has to connect to the back of unavi (which means removing it) and plug into the AUX in your center console.

pm me. i can assist you with iGO.

IMO, it's a lot better than speednavi.

how'd you get a gen coupe with unavi on it =o
when i went to the dealer they had that one used had 19k miles on it but when i drove this and the new 2.0 track i liked this one that and they thought it was the base model instead of the premium so i got it for 21k vice 24 for the new track model and i just liked the interior for this one:) . It seems it was wired in pretty nicely from the looks of it but you never know.

Any ways so if it plug it in the back of the Unavi and back in to the aux in the arm rest that will fix the problem i guess? if thats so i prob do it over the weekend
Yep, but just FYI .....

As a uNavi owner myself? I wound up not connecting my unit up like that to the AUX jack either. Why? Several reasons ....

1. You'll find that the sound quality coming out of the uNavi's MP3 player isn't as good as what you get playing an iPod through the factory stereo, or even playing MP3s from a memory stick plugged into the USB port in the center compartment, next to that AUX audio jack. Granted, for some people, it might be "good enough". It's not "horrible" or anything. But I just noticed a certain "tinny" quality to the sound, like the uNavi's MP3 decoder wasn't quite as fast or as good as it could have been. And when I played with its built-in EQ? I found that often made things even worse.

2. The lack of integration gets annoying. Remember, you have to set your car stereo to "AUX" to hear the sound going through that jack. Well, if you want to hear the uNavi talking when you're using the navigation on it, that means you have to leave the stereo set to AUX too. Not so great when you want to listen to FM or satellite radio or something. (It's not able to do things like fade or mute your stereo when it's about to say something.)

3. If you ever DO want to listen to an iPod in your car, you've got to unplug the audio cable from that AUX jack and plug the iPod cable in, in its place. Not a big deal, but another thing I just thought seemed a little "sloppy", and reminds people your uNavi is an add-on product.

Basically, I decided I'd rather just use the uNavi with its built-in speaker and ignore the music playing function. (Sure wish there was a way to reconfigure the menus on it to hide that feature now, though!)

Wait, so the uNavi doesn't integrate everything like XM radio controls into it and play over the regular speakers? That seems pretty obnoxious, does anyone know if they are going to look into changing this with a future update?
it's pretty hard to do that level of integration. If that's what you're looking for you'd be better off with a new headunit.
Dang, I'm sure that would be pretty expensive; oh well, guess no built in nav for me. :p

be careful when you pull that bezel as the clips holding it seem very weak.
