Hyundai official ecu re flash
hello guys i just come from my hyundai service and they told me i need to upgrade the ecu programing system online from korea's hyundai they offer it for free for all genesis coupe MT tenny

How do they propose you connect your computer to your car? I'm not aware of any tactrix cables out there for our cars.

Could this maybe just be the "rev hang" fix instead of a performance upgrade?

Wasn't there a thread were some dealer had put a sticker on the inside of the fuel door advertising this?? Found that so odd.
Hyundai Korea and HMA are two seperate entities in a sense. Many things dont carry over here.
And like someone said earlier, there is no factory performance reflashes. The Rev-Hang fix should be resolved on all cars now, unless you have a first run production and still havent brought it in...

Haunted also lives in Saudi Arabia, IIRC. Prob nothing similar to HMA/HMC.

If Hyundai can fix the rev hang in the GCs that would be great. Let us know what it is for.
I have been told by my dealer that there is a update for my ECU for the 2010 to bring it to the 2011 spec... HOWEVER I have a bud who has a 2011 and he drove my car (before RTD) and said that I SHOULD NOT get it as he doesn't have the preformance and aggressiveness of mine... so... <shrug> yeah its there but... do you really want it?

It might just be a method of load control for the M/T's to try and prevent further damage. I haven't heard anything about software updates other than the rev-hang fix for the ECU.

I couldn't imagine there is very much if any difference in 2010vs.2011 performance, especially in regards to OEM ECU software.

You know we can pull the stock datas and look at each logics, compare them, etc..
Throttle is the same for 2010 and 2011 thus there is no updates for rev hang.
Only thing a bit better than 2010 is torque control management logics for 3.8.
For 2.0, yes there are many upgrades/downgrades and different A/F ratio for 2011s.
But again nothing for rev hang..
