Seeing as how this information helped me and alot of other people last year gauge the negotiating room on a new genesis coupe last year, I decided to run the whole set of CCC reports for the 2011 model.

To calculate your final out the door (OTD) price, take the subtotal from the invoice side and add a dealer markup (profit for dealer, around 3-5% though i personally just use $300). Multiply this new number by 1.13 (for HST) and then add $300 to the after tax number for other necessary fees (gas and tire tax, licensing, OMVIC, etc...). This final number is you OTD price. You should not be paying for etching, admin fees, PDI, etc... as all these extra fees is just profit for the dealer themselves.

All the info is below: (Sorry about the formatting, I can't do anything about it)
Please look for later posts for more recent incentives.

If you would like, I can also refer you to a large volume dealer in the gta who is willing to sell at low profits ( I got $300 over invoice without any bogus fees). If you need help with anything (calculating OTD, other dealer referrals, advice, current incentives, etc...), just let me know through PM.

If you go by when they had incentvies last year, you can expect Hyundai Canada to have incentives around June and onward in order to clear remaining stock in preparation of the next year models (2012).

You can expect:

0% financing up to 48 or 60 months
Cash Discount (~$3000-$4500 last year depending on model and transmission)

First of all , thank you so much for the quick PM cowcow (david!)

I was looking into 3.8 auto and the dealer i went to (don valley) gave $1766 on top of the car price instead of 1565 + 100 = 1656. They included Tire recovery (29.2) + PDSA (67.47) + OMVIC (5) and it was basically extra $100. is this reasonable? should they not charge extra 100?

they also had GLOBAL-i.com for $348 which they offered for free (is this something special? or everyone offers that?) and COMPLETE PACKAGE ($1188) which i didn't accept.

correct me if i didn't understand your strategy. so i guess OTD for 3.8 Auto will be
36464 + 300 (I will use just $300 too for a good deal) * 1.13 = 41543
41543 + 300 = $41843.32 <-- OTD am I right?

and I believe my lease or finance can be basically calculated from that amount, counting the current interest rate. I wonder if I can apply $300 dealer profit to any car because as what I see from the report, the dealer profit is different from car to car ( they make more benefit from the wholesale for 3.8 than 2.0)

I have not made any contract yet and I will probably go to the dealer you suggested and refer you. Thank you and have a nice day!

Sorry for the late reply as I did not check this thread for a while. My "strategy" for getting a good deal on the car is around a $300 markup or dealer profit.

The extra $100 for the OMVIC, Gas and Tire tax is required by the government by for new cars.

The global-i is not required as it's basically an insurance policy if your car gets stolen. You already pay for insurance so why pay for extra insurance?

This is how I calculate my prices:

Invoice: $32,266.00
Freight: $1565
Markup: $300
A/C Tax: $100

Subtotal: $34,231

From this subtotal, you now take the tax and add the extra fees.

($34,231 *1.13) + $100 (depends on if you need licensing also)

Out the door price: $38,781.03

For lease or finance, you now take this out the door price and apply your rate to find what you pay over your amortized period. I use the calculator on the td site: Personal Loan Calculator: Free Loan Calculator

I also pmed you this information.

I purchased my vehicle in November 2010, and it came to a total of $36,765.21. That's with the AEM intake installed. And the 84 months extended warranty and the ultimate protection package.

hey guys, just letting you know that Agincourt Hyundai is having the 0% financing rate for all 2011 vehicles. Just thought I'd post it seeing as it didn't show that in the build your own vehicle section (still had 2.9% financing). I believe it's only for Agincourt but who knows.

cowcow, I'm planning to pick up my car in the next month. I live in the GTA as well (Scarborough). Do you know any good dealers or people I should be talking to? Thanks!

As you can see in the post above this one, the incentives have changed for the month of march and are available at all dealerships across Canada. Most dealerships will not have 0% financing on their own as this means the dealer would be stuck paying your interest (would never happen).

I will send you a pm with a couple dealers you should check out while shopping around.
