So I unplugged the instrument cluster so I can wrap some parts and that was really dumb because I did not disconnect the battery before I did this. now when I plugged it back in, the fuel gauge is out of wack. It still reads correctly but when my tank is full, the needle is on the halfway point and when I shut off the car the needle goes halfway below the E. So the needle shifted to the left by half a tank. I tried everything I could. I even manually adjusted the needle by moving it in the right position and it would read normally. After shutting off the car for a couple of minutes, the needle would go back below the E and read halfway for a full tank again. Please and thanks in advance for the help and suggestions.
