i cant remember seeing anybody mention this for the pulley install. if you dont have a impact gun you cant always hit the start button or key for a split second with a breaker bar on the frame.

and while it may be overkill its not a bad idea to clean up pulley mating surface before install

Crank pulley is part of the balanced crank assembly.
Meaning, when they balance the crank, they bolt on the crank pulley and flywheel... Then balance it.
There just isn't enough mass to balance it without them bolted on.
Putting on a "light weight" crank pulley will just throw it off.
