how many litres per 100 km are you guys using up? I'm realling cofused with what mine shows. its been at 16L/ 100 km for a while and this morning it went all the way up to 36L/100 km. i dont think thats normal at all. I have the 2.0 T

It depends on a lot of factors.

But usually when I just put in gas it sits at approximately 30L/100km for a bit but then goes down.

I usually get around 9L/100km on the highway and 13L/100km with city driving.

13.8 here

I noticed a slight improvement in my mileage at the 15,000km mark.

i used to get that shitty number when i was putting in 87 oct
2012 Fuel Consumption Guide from Natural Resources Canada actually states that GC uses premium gas... (when our 2012 manual says to use 87)
Anyhow I've been putting in 94 from petro and i'm down to 10.9 in city. Yes it depends on how I drive, and well I sometimes get as low as 9.4L and high as 13.
If you really want to know how to figure out your L/100KM
Do the following (got this from my service manager at my dealership)

1. Pick a gas station you go the most and pick a pump from that station.
2. Fill it to full until it clicks. (Make sure you stop at the first click)
3. Drive 100km and go back and fill again.

Repeat several times and get the average.

This will give you what your average consumption is.

Only engine mod I have is CAI btw.
My service manager and I went for drive on the highway for 100KM and found out that I was getting 7.9L which is very close to 7.8. So there is nothing hyundai will due for me.

In the city, I'm usually sitting at 5th gear if I'm driving at 60km. Some guys I know will even sit on 6th.

Turbo engine runs better with premium gas regardless of what your manufacturer says.

For anyone that knows how to use gear ratio for better driving please let me know.
First Gear Ratio :)1) 4.23
Second Gear Ratio :)1) 2.47
Third Gear Ratio :)1) 1.67
Fourth Gear Ratio :)1) 1.23
Fifth Gear Ratio :)1) 1.00
Sixth Gear Ratio :)1) 0.79
Reverse Ratio :)1) 3.99
Final Drive Axle Ratio :)1) 3.91

I have a 2013 3.8 GT with a manual.

I spend most of my time driving up and down the 404/DVP combinbation.
for the first 11,000 km I averaged 10.4L/100km, snice then I am between 8.8 and 9.8l/100km (depends on traffic).

get about 8-9L/100km on the highway and about 11-12L/100km in the city.
I used to hit about 13L/100km average before the BR Tune.
I don't know how some of you are hitting 9L in the city. I don't gun it at stoplights. I'm usually slowest to accelerate at them and use 5/6th gear asap but still don't get any better than 10.

I put 87oct in and get 8.4L/100kms @ 120km on the Hway but if I put 94oct in and drive the same speed w/cruise on I get 6.9-7.2L. I have broke into the 900kms range with my 3.8L V6 on a tank of fuel. Well worth the cost for the hight octane.

im calling bullshit...lol

City driving is in high 12's, highway it usually goes down to high 7's.. 2.0T manual, 91 octane. Drive normal'ish but like the sound of my exhaust and HKS bov a lil too much :D

For me with the 2.0 and 6spd, diving like lil old Miss Daisy in the city, i get as low as 7.9L/100km....but c'mon, i have a dam turbo! So its usually at 11-13 in the city. On the highway, if i once again drive like lil old Miss Daisy, i have seen 5.9/100km, but once again...turbo! So its usually 8-9L/100km

I average in the 9s on most tanks (2.0T, 27,000 kms)

Had a very eye opening experience on the weekend. Driving up to the cottage, just filled up and hit the highway. Was lazy and put cruise control on, wasn't really paying attention to fuel mileage, after probably 20 minutes I looked down and it was 10.8 and climbing. So i took it off, and after about half an hour it dropped to 8.8
Ive always heard CC is worse but I didn't know it was that much worse considering it wasn't that hilly of a road.

I find the opposite. CC holds speed more effeciently over your foot. Muscle spasms, stretching, etc, and your speed drops and climbs. Of course i could be wrong, but i get the best liters/100km with CC on

Just hit the reset button after a fill up. It will most likely pop up at 35l/100km then drop down. Or hit it as you drive and hold a constant speed, and it will just pop up as 5-6L/100km then climb gradually to 10-13 in the city.

Once in a while after a fill up, ill reset it, then floor it sideways and go like a bat outa hell just to see 99L/100km lol. After the 1st stop its down to 20, then drops lower still. Either way, those are not accurate at all. Just a VERY basic (at best) guideline on fuel usage. I prefer to just fill, record the km on the odometer, then see how many km i can get on the tank. My best, after SFR 91 flash is 688km on a full tank, in the city only. Worst was like 350ish :p

CC should get you better mileage. The higher number was probably due to the train. Was it more hilly or were you climbing in elevation ( heading north from the 401 at hwy 35 for the first 20 minutes actually makes my ears pop).

I get 10.5 in the city driving aggressive, 9.5 if I drive normal. 7.5 on the hwy with CC set at 105 km/hr.

i usually get that high right after I put gas in it.

but after driving around it usually drops down to 12-12.5/100 that's medium to hard driving on an auto

I drive a lot of hwy kms. My 3.8 does ~ 7.8 - 8.5 L/100k (depending on speed I normally drive just under 120km/h). I can get to Ottawa from Pickering (408 kms) in just under 1/2 a tank. I will usually get about 700-730km / tank on a long drive like that.

City driving I avg ~ 9.8 - 10.5 L/100k that's in stop and go and stop lights. From Pickering to Markham (30km) this is my daily drive to work.

This is also with the BTRcc tune. When I first got the tune it seemed like it was getting less gas mileage but after a few months I've done some manual calculations and it has actually made the avg better. With the stock ecu I could get as low as 6.6L/100km on a trip to Ottawa but as soon as I hit city driving I was up in the 12 L/100km range.

This about what I get but imagine ur mileage at 85km/h on the back rds.

#37 ·
My average was 11.2km/100L. I get about 610-620 per tank.. $70 of ultra 94
You should probably sit somewhere around 8.5-9 if you drive normal... i get around 11 but im not normal
:hellokitty10: aww how cute :gc-Popcorn_Smiley_b
im ecstatic if im below 13.5 at any point ... usually 14-18 l/100 lmao
btrcc; bolt on's and often bored when im on the road ;) :D
but i cant blame the car...

My '13 3.8 typically gets 11L/100km calculated manually. The trip computer is hardly the most accurate thing and shows about 1L lower then it should. Calculate the fuel economy manually.

Very short trips and driving aggressively will have the worst fuel economy results.
