Ok. Really interested in seeing your temps. Don't forget to post up the ambient temps too if you would. Good luck with clutch install!

Not bad; I can only wish to have my numbers at least close to what you got... Our Memphis temps are mid 60s in the morning and high 70s later.

How long you've been idling for? Were your fans running? So, I remember you saying you no longer have the low speed, so at what temps does the high speed come on?
I had not been idling long. Maybe a minute. I can get a 5 and 10 minute time tonight if you want.

Hi speed fan did not come on, no lo speed. It will not turn on until just under 200F. The ambient will be about the same to night.

Temp out side was 68 F..... first was start up idle and it was up to temp because I had just got home from work and located my obd adapter. The high way speed was after 10 minutes of driving.

I'm not working tomorrow but I do have a 20min highway drive comparable to my drive to work so I can monitor it again to make sure it doesn't go past 190.

Went out last night. Temp was 57F. Drove for 25 miles with the cruise set at 70mph. Coolant never got above 180F while moving. Oil temp got up to 189F.

Pulled over and idled,no fan running. Took 6 and 1/2 minutes to get to 200F when the fan tuned on.

Thank you guys for posting this up, @PeanutButter - not only you have stock radiator, you still have better temperatures even with the hole not being sealed? WOW is all I have to say...
@Red Raspberry - man, as soon as I park, I would say 2-3 minutes and I am there, fan is ON and all.

Screen shots from today:

Mighty kind of you Red to take time and contribute test data, I'm only here to comment on the cute temperature gauge you use to measure cabin air temperature that probably nobody has ever had the notion to install.

Sorry if I missed this earlier in the thread but what mix of coolant is M7777777 running?

Received a response from Mishimoto this morning:

I have spoken with a few people here in our engineering department, and we're suspect of not enough fresh air being able to make it through to the radiator's core. Our engineers are curious about your intercooler. If the intercooler and pipes were big enough that you had to cut off part of the shroud for proper fitment, it may be blocking some of the air getting to the radiator. They have informed me to have you try reverting back to your stock intercooler to see if that makes any difference.

Have you done any other troubleshooting with this since our last correspondence? I noticed on the forum page there was mention of the fan making a difference at high speed. That also supports our notion of an airflow issue if the low speed isn't helping to pull enough air through.

Mishimoto strives for the best Customer Service. Have I fully resolved any questions or concerns you were contacting us about today?
Well, of course they are curious about my intercooler, probably mainly due to it not being Mishimoto... Do you know why I had to cut it? Because you guys decided to put that half inch gap between the rad and the AC condenser? If it was sitting flush mounted to one another just as OEM - I bet you I could even reuse my stock coolant reservoir but because it is what it is - I am forced to look for another one. How about the grill area? Is the opening there not enough to cool the rad? I highly doubt there's not enough air flow just because I now have a FMIC; the air still passes through. Look at @PeanutButter - same setup as myself with the exception of OEM rad that he still has AND still has better coolant temperature than me with your radiator.

I've already killed my Friday, Saturday and Sunday installing this, and sure ain't going through this again. I mean seriously?? You telling me to put the stock parts back on? The only stock part I consider reinstating is the radiator because the one from you obviously isn't doing any good. @PeanutButter is your man in this case - again, same intercooler as me and stock radiator. Can you explain why he has "enough air flow" to cool the stock radiator?

And it's easily moved to anywhere. :)

I also have a LED that comes on when the AC clutch cycles. I find the on and off is almost always a 5f spread. Don't know what that correlates to as far as pressure though.

The viscosity of that mix at 200F is very similar to that of pure water at those conditions (both less than 1 cP. I'm thinking thermostat.

This is a poor excuse by Mishimoto, obviously if the treadstone intercooler and stock radiator work well together why wouldn't it provide better temps with an upgraded rad. IMO reverting to stock intercooler is a complete waste of time and like I said a poor excuse. This guy should get his money back.

OK well here it goes I went for a long 30 min drive Highway and City mix and my temps got a little warmer and look similar to yours.... in the city going from light to light I was sitting in the 190s. At one stop light it went up to 201 but as soon as I started moving it dropped back down to 196. Then as soon as I got on the highway moving 75mph it dropped back down to 186 and stayed there. I can post screen shots if needed.

Taking off from stop light

Cruising on the highway right after

Like I said it only hit 201 for a couple seconds and dropped back down to 190s when city driving...and as soon as I got onto the highway it dropped to the 180s

I am pretty sure if you seal up your shroud - you would have better temps, especially in the city.. Either way, your temps look a lot better than me with 2 core aluminum radiator LOL

Blyatt, thanks for the understanding, something makes me think that returning this radiator would probably be the only way we can fix this situation. I highly doubt they will send me another one either.

Well there is definitely a problem since on the highway the temperatures do not drop into the 180* range like the other cars and some have a stock rad...IMO yours should cool better. This problem will only get worse as the ambient air temp rises during the summer! Lets see what mishi can do for you.

+1 what blyatt is saying...

I also sent a message to Mishimoto customer service. I asked what shall we do now? As I said, if no other radiator will be provided, this one needs to go back and my money's got to be refunded. I do not see another way to solve this problem.

Oh and one other thing - @Mishimoto please don't offer me your 160* thermostat or Liquid Chill additive - I just don't believe in that nor do I want to spend more money. I'd rather just go back to stock.

Thank you.

Ok, it's getting hot here and so is my coolant. I'm sorry, but this radiator comes off my car. I'm done torturing it. Here are my temps today...

A few pics before it comes off... I believe in one of the posts I said that the gap between the condenser and the radiator was half of an inch, I'm taking my words back. It is 7/8".

Also, notice how crooked the AC condenser is.

I'm planning on swapping the rads this weekend if not, then next Memorial weekend, I should have plenty of time to have everything right.
