My fans work but not when at operating temps so i overheat in slow traffic I tried the thermostat that wasn’t the solution so I wanna check the relay

It's probably the low speed fan resistor burnt out. It's located on the pass side of the fan shroud. If you unplug it and put a jumper in the connector the fan will run on high speed for engine temp control instead of low speed..
