Ok, this is for those of you who saw my ORIGINAL THREAD where I announced the new carbon fiber rear diffuser cover:
http://www.gencoupe.com/exterior/49544-carbon-fiber-rear-diffuser-like-sequences.html
So yea, I got a few new pics today. Sucks that it snowed the other day because the roads are dirty as hell. I had to drive out to Sarona Design yesterday to test fit some new parts that they are working on (***SPOILER ALERT***), so now my car is filthy. I tried to clean off the diffuser as best as possible with a damp towel, but that froze before I could snap many pics. Here are a few of the first ones though...
So as you can see, this is a full carbon fiber overlay that goes right over the lower/central portion of the rear bumper. What's the difference between this and the Sequence one? Well, it's simple. Sequence's was made for the Korean license plate, and it has two holes that would otherwise be hidden. However, when you install Sequence's diffuser on a Coupe here in North America, the holes are visible due to our license plate being narrower. You can see the holes HERE--the square and circle on the outsides of the top image.
Basically what we are doing is getting rid of those extra holes so that the surface is smooth. However, as you can sorta see in the pics, the factory only got rid of the two outer holes--they forgot to smooth them out. So basically, they're just indentations now. Thankfully though, the few that I did get in as part of this shipment were only pre-production samples so I can do a test fit and give final approval. For the actual production pieces, the indentations will obviously be filled in. Unfortunately, due to Chinese new year, the factory is closed until mid-February. As such, we won't have inventory until the first or second week of March.
Well, that's about it. If anyone's interested, please feel free to message me anytime. I won't officially start selling the production pieces until I know the inventory is on the way, but if you just want to reserve one for yourself and don't care about waiting until they get here, that's fine. Either way, there will be plenty to go around, so no rush obviously.
