OEM Radio LCD

Hey guys , iam replacing my factory radio with a double din radio. Now I believe the radio LCD will go to shyt. I was wondering if I could add some gauges to it... (probably not) or can I add anything to that screen? Also if I cant then can I remove it and install a GPS?

Yes once you replace the factory radio it will stop working (won't even show the temperature anymore). I'm not aware of anything you can add to it but if you wanted to remove it and add a GPS that's possible.
