Thanks for the sticky and OEM info, I was looking for the specs so I could just mount the factory tires on different rims for summertime use. I got the winter tires on the stock rims and it wasn't easy to find tires that matched the factory stagger.

Do you have any info on factory 17" hyundai rims that would fit the coupe?
It would be helpful for potential snow tires?

17"? I couldn't even get the Mortegi's from my Tiburon to go on the front end of my Genny and they were 17"s so chances are you won't be able to get them to get over the brakes with clearance. Best to go with some 18"s that match the Factory specs.

Most tire shops want to match the factory specs on over all size etc as the lawsuit happy lawyers look for any excuse to nail somebody for something in an accident. Insurance companies likely hire them as well to get out of paying if something is altered on the car to blame the driver for the problem in the single car accidents.

That's my opinion anyway.

been on this forum for countless hours and just realised how different 19 vs 18 are in the spoke pattern... wow!

i knew they looked different but never really compared to realise the spokes are kind of inverted on the 19

8.5+20 and 9.5+20 is a safe choice.

Alot of members run 9.5+22 and 10.5+22. Look around the fitment thread to see what look you want.
can i see what that looks like i would apperiate it

Did you buy it used? That's definitely wrong. Look on your rear wheels, they should have an "r" on them, just to make sure the wheels are the rights size in the rear before putting the tires on them. It shouldn't matter much either way as far as the tire fitment on the wheels, but just make sure a previous owner didn't replace everything without knowing it was supposed to be a staggered setup.

i bought the tires off craigslist. they weren't used, in fact they still have the original paper right on the tire itself. but the mom and son that i bought them from won them from an event sponsored by bridgestone. i've looked at multiple websites they all say that i need 245/40R19 for the rear because the rpsec is a staggered fit. but i just looked at the tires that are currently on the car and it says the exact same thing for the front, which is 225/40R19 even though all the tire websites i.e tirerack say that i need 245's
