Any idea where this oil leak is coming from? 2013 2.0t.

took it to dealer got valve cover, timing cover, and oil pan resealed. Car leaked significantly worse afterwards. Took car back and they cant find anything. I only went to them as i have a warranty, as i work at a dealership for another brand myself. So im tired of dealing with this. Its caked near the p/s pulley and water pump. Its coated the bottom of the motor, and pools around the rim of the oil pan. I checked the oil line for the turbo and it looks to be okay. What do you guys think?

Where the timing cover and head meet, they should be using a dab of silicone sealant to keep the valve cover gasket from leaking. Both sides.

Ill probably end up decreasing it tmrw and checking that out. I can see rtv globs everywhere. But im pretty sure it was a failed re seal.

That's the only place that there should be RTV. Maybe in the back on the corners in the oring groove to hold the gasket in place. It's all once piece, spark plug wells and all. I've had mine off a coupled times.

Be carful when tightening down as the bolts bottom out and will snap off if foirced.
