I have a manual temp control for the coolant temp. I just have it run on the hi speed. The low speed I pulled the relay out.
Here's my post on it. You do not have to open the fuse box I have found out. And it is also a good time to add an LED for an indicator along with a switch if you ever want to manually kick it in. All done with a small ground wire to the high speed fan relay coil.
