Hello,

Just bought Akebono brake pads to complete my base brake to Brembo conversion.

I'm wondering how tight the brake pads should fit in the caliper? Is it normal to have a small side to side play ?

I don't know if I describe the subject well, so here's a bunch of pictures to illustrate it:

Difference between caliper housing and pad is max. approx. 0.025" total.
Does it seems correct or is it too much play?

The pins keep the pads centered. Lots of people run these pads so I can't imagine it being an issue.

i've had these pads in my car for over 50k miles front and rear no issues at all. if you dont like noisy brakes i would recommend using something on the backs of the pads- these tend to be a bit noisy once they get hot after breakin

Pads have normal play. Use brake hardware to adjust the front and add brake grease for the rear moving parts and their noise will be gone.
