Quick BOV Question

So I am switching to a SSQV this week and I was wondering about my current set up.

As of this moment my bov is connected like shown in this SFR video:

However, prophylaxis' install was different with the SSQV. via this link:

My question is, is it absolutely necessary to have that set up (from prophylaxis' post) for the SSQV? or is the current state of mine just as good for the addition of the SSQV and just swap the BOV?
(btw I do have a hard pipe with a flange to fit the HKS)

Sorry I'm really new to a turbocharged car so I like to ask silly questions.
