Rebuilt engine and now it will crank but never starts

PLEASE HELP! I rebuilt the bk2 2.0 put the engine back in and have good compression, fuel, air, and timing. I do NOT have a spark and I cannot figure out why. I have looked over all of my work and just can't figure it out. I checked all the fuses, and grounds, and replaced the cam sensors. I have not replaced the crank sensor because my engine shows rpm when cranking. If anyone has ideas please share. :)

One time I did some major work to an engine and it would not start. It was flooded and I had to crank while holding the gas pedal down from almost two minutes.
I'm assuming it ran (or at least had spark) before dissambly/rebuild.
If so I know you stated you double checked everything but check again. Obviously somthing is either disconnected or misconected causing no secondary voltage though the coils. Is there primary voltage to the coils? All grounds good and connected? All harnesses engine and body properly connected? Check for pinched or broken wires. Check/change crank/cam sensors for proper operation/connection/orientation.
It can definitely be a P.I T.A. but Obviously somthing got overlooked.
Best of luck and may the gods of international combustion look upon you favorably.

I had the same issue today on my GDI it was flooded and it took 60sec and foot to the floor to start it. 2.0 GDI Kia Soul. Basically same engine I think
Still working on the engine... I now got it to crank. Turns out I put the flex plate backwards and the CKP wasn't sending spark, but of course I still have issues... The engine cranks and sounds good but just can seem to start up right. It does every time I take my foot off the throttle. The engine has spark, fuel, air, and compression. Could someone help me out? Thanks!
Why do you have your foot on the pedal? A normal start requires none.

It just won’t crank up unless I have my foot on the pedal. If you have your foot off it just cranks slow and never starts up.
