Resonated test pipes

So I have a 2015 3.8 Gen and I’m gonna have to get it registered, and I have the full ark exhaust including test pipes up to the stock headers.
Sometimes in CT the emissions guys hop under the car to identify the cats and I know the car has primary cats, but I thought resonated test pipes would not only pass as high flow cats at a quick glance, but could make my exhaust sound a little smoother (great at times but deafening on the highway currently)

Anyone know of any good vendors? I don’t have access to a welder anymore so was hoping to just get something I could bolt right up.

I want to say I had OBX resonated test pipes on mine. I actually have a pair of high-flow cats that most of the webbing is gone that I would sell cheap, since I traded my 15 GC for a G70, with the resonated test pipes in lieu of cats..
I had straight through yesterday pipes. Hated the sound. Ended up getting OBX resonators with primary still there and Solo exhaust. The obx do resemble secondary cats. Unless it fails emissions there should be no reason for them to question if it's catted or not. In MD I have to go every 2 years. Mine fast passed in 10 seconds. I have sound clips on here in diff threads if you wanna hear it.
eBay always plugged up.

Let us know how they sound in comparison to straight test pipes, if you can then do a video pls.
Cause I currently have an H pipe but i might switch to these cause i wouldn't mind a pinch of rasp.

They look just like high flow cats once they're bolted up so I don't see why it would fail the visual inspection. They have O2 sensor bungs on them, so you could even put some old sensors in there to really throw them off.

They certainly reduce the rasp, but I don't know what effect it would have on the highway. It has a small amount of packing material in there so it may soak up some noise.

I got mine on ebay, seemed to be the only place that carried them.

Running my OBX with Solo cat back. Had h pipe but was way to raspy. Some like it, I hate rasp. When the exhaust warms up it has a deep growl and sounds great.
I don't have popcorn tune added to my custom tune but the car still pops on deceleration. Resonators for those whom don't like rasp is the way to go. Dyno before and after H pipe to resonators shown no difference. We'll, there was about 3hp between the 2 test but can chalk that up to dyno variances. If you want to know TP had 3 more hp, resonator had 2 more tq. Take it for what it is I guess.
