Cadillac has never made anything like the CTS-V Coupe, a $63,000 monster that's half hedonist and half hot-rod. Not only that, Cadillac's never fought in this part of the market before. The brand had monster engines back in its early days, but they were always pulling monster barges that wallowed as much as, well, barges. Here we have a coupe promising to cut up the roads like one of those German knives, but we've heard that refrain so many times before. This time, however, it might be true.

Meh in the looks department I would take a S5.

Now hurry up with the supercharged V6 Audi and ditch that V8.

This car is a great bang for the buck but there is 3 reasons I wouldn't buy it if I had the money.

1.curb weight is 4200-4300 lbs!!!
2.interior quality could be better for this 63k car
3.the rear end is too high and makes it look kind of like a SUV/coupe hybrid.

+1.. on being great bang for the buck, but the main issue I would have is its looks ~ I hate the edgyness & angles.

Interesting, the bottom slot is blank on mine cause I have the 2.0T...the Sonata or better yet Elantra might be a closer match :

Pictures do not do justice to the interior of this car. I saw both the base CTS Coupe and the V at the auto show in Greenville last week, and I loved them.
CTS - V

sedan > coupe
Those who hate on the V's, have not experienced a V.
I'm a Cadillac tech. This car is the best car on the road in America, in that price point. It can not be beat.
The ride is sooo smooth, feels very luxury... but stomp that accelerator and all you hear is WHIIIIIIIIIIINE mixed with a deep rumble from the LSA, then experience a feeling similar to being short of breath.

If I had the money, a V sedan 6m/t would be in my carport.

I just noticed the Cadillac seats are wrinkled in that picture for a new 63k car?

Probably a press vehicle where a lot of people got in and out. Could still be new, but had hundreds of butts sliding in and out of it. My GTI's bolsters had wrinkling on them not too long after I owned the car.

So this happens on a lot of cars even very expensive ones and here we complain about it happening on a 20k+ Hyundai.
